How to Dispute a Transaction on Your GiveCard
Please follow this steps If you wish to dispute an authorized transaction for any of these reasons:
- I was charged more than once for the same purchase.
- I was charged on my GiveCard even though another payment method was used.
- I was charged a higher amount than expected.
- The ATM did not dispense the cash, but my account was debited.
- I didn’t receive the product or service (or it was delivered late or at the wrong location).
- I was charged for a recurring transaction (free trial or subscription) even though I cancelled it.
- I cancelled or returned a product or service but I have not received a refund.
- I am dissatisfied with the merchandise or service received.
- I received merchandise that I believe is fake or not genuine.
- I haven't received a credit that was promised by the merchant.
Step 1: Log into your GiveCard account.
Visit the https://www.givecardplatform.com/cardholders log in to your account to view your transaction history.
Step 2: Verify the transaction.
Double-check the amount and the merchant where the transaction took place. Ensure there was an error before proceeding with the dispute.
Step 3: Contact the merchant.
Dispute the charge directly with the merchant where the transaction occurred. Once the merchant processes the refund, the timing for funds to return to your card depends on the merchant’s bank—GiveCard can’t control or expedite this step.
Step 4: Provide necessary details
When contacting the merchant, be ready to share the transaction amount, date, and any other relevant details. Keep any receipt, ticket, or email confirmation from the merchant in case further review is needed.
Important Note: It is always a good idea to try and resolve any billing issues directly with the merchant first. If the merchant is unable to assist you or the issue persists, please gather all proof of the transaction along with your conversations with them, and fill out our Dispute Form. It is crucial for the success of your dispute that you fill out the form carefully and provide all the requested information.
