How to Dispute a Transaction on Your GiveCard
If you believe you’ve been overcharged or double-charged, follow these steps to dispute the transaction:
Step 1: Log into your GiveCard account.
Visit the https://www.givecardplatform.com/cardholders log in to your account to view your transaction history.
Step 2: Verify the transaction.
Double-check the amount and the merchant where the transaction took place. Ensure there was an error before proceeding with the dispute.
Step 3: Contact the merchant.
Dispute the charge directly with the merchant where the transaction occurred. GiveCard cannot process disputes on your behalf. Once the merchant processes the refund, the timing for funds to return to your card depends on the merchant’s bank—GiveCard can’t control or expedite this step.
Step 4: Provide necessary details.
When contacting the merchant, be ready to share the transaction amount, date, and any other relevant details. Keep any receipt, ticket, or email confirmation from the merchant in case further review is needed.
Important Note: It’s always a good idea to resolve any billing issues directly with the merchant first. If the merchant doesn’t assist or the issue persists, please gather all proof of the transaction and conversations with the merchant and contact GiveCard support for further guidance.
