Your billing address is the address associated with your GiveCard. You may be asked to provide it when making an online purchase or when a merchant asks you to verify your card information.
The billing address you should use depends on whether you have a physical or virtual GiveCard.
💳 I have a physical GiveCard
If you have a physical GiveCard, your billing address is the address associated with your GiveCard account.
To find your billing address:
- Log in to your GiveCard account.
- Go to your account information.
- Find the billing address associated with your card.
GiveCard does not store your personal home address as your billing address.
💻 I have a virtual GiveCard
If you have a virtual GiveCard, use the following billing address when a merchant asks for your billing address:
123 GiveCard Way
New York, NY 10001
United States
Use this address exactly as shown above when completing an online purchase.
🛍️ What is the difference between a billing address and a shipping address?
These two addresses are different:
Billing address: The address associated with your payment method. Merchants may use it to verify your card information when processing a transaction.
Shipping address: The address where you want your order or package to be delivered.
For example, you may use the GiveCard billing address when paying for an online purchase, while entering your own address as the shipping address.
Important: Your billing address does not determine where you can use your GiveCard. Your card may still have program-specific spending rules or merchant restrictions that apply to your purchases.
❓ My online purchase was declined after entering the billing address. What should I do?
If your purchase was declined, first make sure you entered the billing address correctly.
If the address is correct and the transaction is still declined, the decline may be related to your card balance, merchant restrictions, or your program's spending rules.
Adding the correct billing address does not override any restrictions that may apply to your GiveCard.
